Grandchild #5

Monday night my sister had her little baby girl, Sikayda - 7lbs 4oz, 20.5 inches, after 10 hours of labor. She pushed for 2 hours and was close to getting a cesarean because the baby was posterior, a little sideways and just wouldn't come out. The doctor used suction and 3 different sizes of forceps. Poor little Sikayda's head was totally bruised and scraped. She just howled any time someone touched her head. She has slept really well the last 2 days - probably due to the labor being so traumatic. My sis is doing well and just happy to have it all over with! Sikayda's coloring is very similar to Audrey's when she was born. Newborns are such a miracle - so tiny, fragile, soft and precious!
